Philanthropic Fund
The ArtsNational Philanthropic Fund (ABN 91 683 036 082) has been established as a public fund with DGR status, to further enhance the ability of ArtsNational to support the next generation of emerging Australian artists. All donations are tax deductible
ArtsNational societies have long offered opportunities to students and young artists in their local area through grants to individuals, schools and community groups. From pre-school to tertiary, city to regional and remote, already skilled or just beginning, in literature, music, dance, photography, visual arts, traditional culture and more, ArtsNational helps ensure people have avenues to participate and appreciate the arts by being involved in a variety of ways.
Now the Philanthropic Fund is taking the next step with the launch of the ArtsNational Emerging Artist Prize, a $20,000 non-acquisitive award that recognises excellence in art practice and directly supports a winning visual artist in furthering their career development. Entries open on July 15th and we invite Australian residents who are practicing professional artists or tertiary art students between the ages of 18 and 35 to submit three examples of their work, a 300 word artistic statement outlining their art practice and a 200 word statement of purpose outlining how they propose to use the prize money to support their career development. Entries close on August 31st. From a short list of finalists, a panel of three judges appointed by ArtsNational will announce the winner on October 8th 2026.
In addition to the cash prize, the winner will receive a one year membership to ArtsNational, an invaluable introduction to our nation-wide network of knowledgeable and discerning art lovers and collectors.
The ArtsNational Emerging Artist Prize will be open for entries from July 15th.
